Max Doehlemann Jazz Trio: »Tscholent Jazz«
Präsentiert wird ein Repertoire zwischen dem American Songbook, Eigenkompositionen und jüdischer Musik. Im aktuellen Programm »Tscholent Jazz« (Tscholent ist eine Art Eintopf, der traditionell am Schabbatmittag gegessen wird) adaptieren die drei Musiker zum Beispiel jüdische Traditionals aus verschiedenen Kontinenten und entwickeln daraus einen modernen, melodiös orientierten Jazz-Stil. Der Sound des Trios, das auch oft mit verschiedenen Musikern kooperiert, ist atmosphärisch dicht und hat zugleich viele dynamische Facetten.
